So recently I've been stuck in a funk, a make up funk. I'v been doing the same natural make up for about one to maybe two months straight. You guys know the look.. the matte no shimmer winged liner the whole 9. So what does one do to get out of the funk? I'm glad you asked, you go out and buy new make up and that's exactly what I did. If you don't know what ColourPop is its this AWESOME website where you can buy makeup at an incredibly affordable price. Now like most of us I had watched my fair share of YouTube videos and had seen these products pop up over and over again. Since I was in a funk I decided what the heck lets try it out.

The first thing I realized about ColourPop is that they go the extra mile on their packaging and even on the note inside of your order. Its super cute!
FACE/ EYES
This highlighter is called Butterfly Beach, it has a beautiful mixture of silver and gold. I was never into highlighting and this color really does accentuate the high points of your face or features. I have noticed that it applies better when you use your fingers rather than a brush but I am still trying to figure out the best technique so it doesn't look like my face is a frosted cookie.
ColourPop also has an amazing range of super shock eye shadows. They have a lot of different colors and finishes ranging from matte, pearlized, satin, glitter sheer, ultra- metallic, and pressed pigments. I decided to try out the metallic super shock shadows. I didn't go for an extreme color choice and maybe that its my next step but I went with pretty common colors.

LIPS
I don't usually wear lipstick, I usually just put on lip balm Vaseline to be exact and that's about it, I never really liked my lips and maybe that's why I never really liked using lipstick because way add to something I don't like. It's time I get out of my comfort zone and at least try. So I bought a "couple" of lip products.
First I started off looking at the Ultra Satin Lips. I found a couple of colors that I really liked and I didn't feel would be to hard to add to my daily routine.

Top: Lost Middle: Frick N' Frack Bottom: Magic Wand |
I choose a range of colors because like I said I wanted to experiment with a couple of different options. Lost is a warm tone red, Frick N' Frack is a brown pink with more color than just a nude like Magic Wand.
I also picked up 2 lippie pencil and 4 lippie sitx.
The Lippie Stixs I picked up where from their new collection Matte X that launched on April 28th. They have a full range of colors perfect for every occasion. I again picked from nude to dark. I haven't tried all of these yet but I look forward to it. They are smooth and pack a punch of color.

L:R Cami, Trust me, Chateau $5 |
I also got a matching Aquarius Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencil. Aquarius is like a nude pink more on the brown side. I haven't tried them together but the lippie pencil looks a little bit darker than the actual lippie stix.
They last lippie pencil I got is called Lyin' King which is a raspberry dark red color. It is a perfect year around color but also seems like it would be perfect for the fall.
are the swatches for all of the Lippie Stix and the Lippie Pencils, They are so smooth and glide on so easily. They pigmentation is gorgeous and these colors would look beautiful on any skin tone.
All of the products on the ColourPop website are super affordable. They even have free shipping sometimes. When you subscribe you get $5 dollars off your first purchase.
