I work retail which is very exhausting this time of year late nights, early mornings, overnights you name it; so of course I am struggling to make Christmas well Christmas. I don't usually struggle for this long of a time frame I usually snap out of it and am going crazy with Christmas cheer. Why am
I sharing this? I've had several people around me try and help me get out of my funk simply because they know it is not who I am this time of year. I figured that if any of you are struggling with this or are just feeling a bit down this time of year know that you aren't alone.
I wanted to share what I have been doing to get out of my funk which has been pretty tough.
These things may not help everyone but its the simple things especially this time of year.
Holiday Playlist: Listen to those Christmas songs that you just get you to smile without noticing
Lights: Drive around or take a stroll through the closest decorated park, relax and take a breather
Movies: Watch all the favorites, with a cup of hot chocolate, some popcorn and candy and your all set
Cozy Wear: Blankets, Pillows you name it anything to get you in that comfy cozy spirit
Cookie: White Fudge Oreos signifies the start of Christmas for me anytime I see them in store I know its time and I can't help but buy a couple boxes
Mental Reminder: Basically a reminder that Christmas is a time of year, a feeling, its not about the presents or who can get more or give more its more about the memories we make and the time we share.
These may seem like simple things but sometimes taking a step back and just breathing can do wonders for someones mind body and soul.
Do you have any tips or trick to get out of the Christmas Blues?
